Beatles LP Collection for Sale

Mammoth Original Beatles LP Collection... nearly 600 LPs

Price: $3000; this page will stay up until the collection is sold.

This is a very unique Beatles LP collection, the likes of which has never been offered for sale before.

While most Beatles collectors are content with having a copy of each of their albums, I've attempted to follow Bruce Spizer's lead. Spizer is the biggest authority on Beatle record variations and has written several books on all their different nuances, and has been able to tell when a certain record was manufactured, and where. So it's an easy task to get a copy of each of their LPs, it's quite another to track down all the versions of, say, Meet The Beatles, in mono and stereo, West Coast, East Coast pressings, as well as label variations and variations in the reissue labels. When you consider that there are over 24 different versions of the original pressing of Meet The Beatles, you can imagine how unweildy this gets.

So yes, it's nice to have a Capitol Rainbow Swirl label of the mono Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band (a tough LP to find), but how easy is it to have the version that was out on sale the day it came out, from every Capitol factory that produced it at the time? Being able to track down a copy of Meet The Beatles that can be IDed as being among the first pressings of that album, before they set foot in America is an investment piece.

Conditions are all over the map on this collection. Most are in nice shape, but there are some stray ones that are on the rough side. But when you're looking for an extremely rare label version from a certain factory, filling the hole in the collection's the most important thing.

This is a large collection. Not only does it contain the Beatles' US pressings, I'm also including all their solo LPs, as well as related records. I'm also including a ton of foreign pressings as well, including a first pressing of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band from China in 1967 on red vinyl. Pretty esoteric material. I'm also including the complete collection of all the US-releases from Apple Records. Not just the solo Beatles, but every other artists' releases, like Badfinger, Mary Hopkin, David Peel, etc., many still sealed.

Two notes: before you ask, there are no butcher cover's in here. They are too expensive to find, especially when you consider that for this type of collection, I'd have to track down multiple variations of it. And I will not break up this collection. It's being sold as one.

This isn't a complete collection of every US Beatles LP. But it's a big chunk of them. Below's a list of what's included. I've tried to brielfy describe each and at times I've mentioned Spizer ID numbers from his books. I've also included just a sample of images of the collection.
